Quick Release Change Parts

Central Bottling International was acquired by the Barry Wehmiller Group in April 2005 and the three change part divisions of CBI, Perplas and Barry Wehmiller Europe were amalgamated to create the largest change parts manufacturer in Europe. As a result we can boast a wealth of knowledge as each company was operating in differing sectors of the container handling industry.

The amalgamation means that CBI now has the technology to manufacture Zepf Mark II Quick Release Change Parts. The Zepf Mark II container handling system offers numerous advantages to standard change parts, these include:

Where a container sample is provided, CBI will digitise the bottle and a three-dimensional image can be obtained and used within specially developed CAD software. The digitiser can offer the exact cross sections through the container at any given height from the bottle base. Perfect pocket geometry can then be designed into the stars and guides, giving perfect container handling. The container can be digitised standing vertically or at any given angle, for example 45°. We can also layer the container images so that multiple containers can be used with only one set of parts reducing changeovers even further. We have also developed our own feedscrew design software and machinery for the production of feedscrews.
