CBI Fleetwood's bi-directional accumulation tables can help keep production machines supplied with product, thereby mimimizing temporary stoppages of equipment from shutting down an entire production line.

By allowing upstream machines to operate at most efficient speeds without interruption, overall line productivity is increased. Similarly, line efficiency can also be maintained when a bi-directional table is used to accumulate and reintroduce product back onto the line in response to delays upstream and downstream.

Operation:
Excess production from upstream equipment can be stored and automatically released to the downstream equipment when upstream flow is interrupted. In the event of a downstream stoppage, production flow from upstream machines is automatically transferred onto the accumulation table, allowing upstream equipment to keep operating. The accumulated products are automatically reintroduced to the line as production flow allows, keeping downstream equipment continuously supplied.
